Jim Starlin is in my top five writer-artists. I finally got to meet him this weekend. When I was a younger chap, he showed me that comics could have complex socio-political-religious stories while still in the realm of superheroes - the Warlock stories. We headed over to Comixology and bought issue 1. It looks good enough to follow the story. I get the feeling I missed some stuff but many stories start in the now and then fill in the past.
