Comic Store west

I give a huge thank you to Comic Store West and the staff there, especially Scott and Candi. When legendary creator George Pérez announced he would not attend more comic book conventions a few years back, we went to New Jersey to see him at one of his last events. Earlier this year he announced he has terminal cancer. We are all saddened by the news. He remains in great spirits, giving the fans regular updates. Out of this fandom came an initiative to re-release his JLA/Avengers crossover. There were only 7,000 copies made. The profits are going to The Hero Initiative charity. Already the eBay posts are out, with sellers asking for hundreds of dollars. We doubt many of those sellers will send their profit to the charity. My local comic book and game store, Comic Store West, took my order. They knew it was a slim chance of getting it. They did. They could have held it back and sold it later for hundreds of dollars. They didn’t. Scott handed me my copy, ensuring my continued loyalty to this great shop. Thank you, folks.
